To ensure the best results, please arrive with at least 3 weeks of hair growth so the wax can properly grip the hair. Gently exfoliate 24–48 hours prior to your appointment to help remove dead skin cells and reduce the risk of ingrown hairs. Additionally, avoid using retinols or tretinoin for at least one week before your service, as these products can increase skin sensitivity and may lead to lifting or irritation during waxing.

Proper aftercare is essential to maintain smooth, healthy skin and prevent irritation. Within the first 24 hours, avoid heat and friction by staying away from saunas, hot baths, tanning, swimming pools, hot tubs, intense exercise, and sexual activity. It’s also recommended to wear loose-fitting clothing and cotton underwear to reduce friction and sweat, which can lead to bumps or ingrown hairs. Try not to touch the waxed area to minimize exposure to bacteria. After 48 hours, begin a consistent aftercare routine by gently exfoliating 2–3 times per week to help prevent ingrown hairs, and keep the skin well-hydrated by moisturizing daily with a fragrance-free lotion.

Certain medications, treatments, and skin conditions can make waxing unsafe or increase the risk of irritation, sensitivity, or skin lifting. Waxing is not recommended if you are currently using or have recently used products such as tretinoin, isotretinoin, retinol or other retinoids, adapalene, or tazarotene. Additionally, recent chemical peels, laser treatments, or having sunburned or compromised skin can also prevent you from receiving a waxing service safely. For your protection, it is essential to complete your intake form thoroughly and accurately, and to disclose all medications, skincare products, and recent treatments prior to your appointment.
